No fight night of a league KLVSH follows took place between 12 and 18 October 2026, so there are no results to report this week. The latest cards came just before. On 7 October, ARC put martial artists in motion-capture suits at the controls of Unitree G1 and EngineAI T800 robots in Singapore; the organiser counted more than 380 spectators (our report). Two days later, REK held its Deathmatch in San Francisco. The San Francisco Standard did not name the winning robot, and KLVSH has found no official result (our report).
League announcements
The main story of the week was legal. On 14 October the Los Angeles Times reported that the California State Athletic Commission had written to REK on 23 September, after a show on 18 September in which an influencer fought three remotely controlled humanoids. The commission holds that any boxing or MMA contest involving a human in California needs its approval. REK chief executive Cix Liv disputes that reading; he told the paper REK is focusing on robot-only fights for now and may stage future human-versus-robot bouts in Las Vegas or another state (full story).
Robots & teams
REK's Deathmatch main event matched two machines called Rektile and T-REK. According to the Standard, Rektile stands 6 ft 2 in, weighs 180 lb and carries steel claws, while T-REK weighs 190 lb and fights with blades; both are Chinese-made robots modified for combat. Earlier, in URKL 2026 qualifying, the Polish team Brave Mind Fighters finished fourth of 200 teams, the best result by a European team according to Polish Radio in July. Its seven members are engineers and students, with Piotr Gerke as technical lead (more).
Tech & rules
Two ways of steering a humanoid were on show this month. At ARC, the pilots came from Muay Thai, MMA, boxing and kung fu, and each robot reproduced its pilot's movements in real time through a system supplied by Katena. REK's robots are piloted remotely, and its Deathmatch added weapons: blades of roughly 10 to 20 inches cut from AR500 hardened steel. The Standard reported a camera lens pierced and cage panels gouged and cracked. For classic robot combat, our NHRL explainer sets out weight classes, bout length and judging.
Coming this week
The KLVSH calendar has no fight night between 19 and 25 October. Two arrive on Saturday 31 October. BattleBots holds Creature Combat II at its Las Vegas arena, a Destruct-A-Thon show for robots with legs, arms and unusual ways of moving (event). The same day, the AHHAA Science Centre stages RoboBattle 2026 at the Tartu Exhibition Centre in Estonia (event). NHRL's Pro Tour Round 3 follows on 7 November at the House of Havoc in Norwalk, Connecticut (event).
Number of the week
54: the number of fights the public will see at RoboBattle 2026 in Tartu once the qualifying rounds are over, according to Baltic Guide. Each fight lasts two minutes in an 8 by 8 metre arena, with two weight classes: under 30 kg and up to 55 kg. The competition grew out of exhibition fights at Science Night in 2016, and its largest field so far was 48 robots, in 2024 (our preview).
