About

The PM01 is a mid-size humanoid from Shenzhen-based EngineAI, put on global sale in December 2024 and described by its maker as a lightweight, fully open platform. Launch material gave 1.38 m and about 40 kg; the maker's current spec sheet for the 2026 editions lists about 44 kg with the battery. It has 24 joint motors: one in the neck, six per leg, one in the waist and five per arm, with no hands listed. It is sold in an Education Edition and a Navigation Edition, the latter adding a 3D LiDAR. Compute is an 8-core CPU with an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16 GB, and EngineAI publishes a ROS2 workspace with PM01 example policies under a BSD-3 licence.

In the ring

No fight involving a PM01 has been documented in the sources we checked. EngineAI's own league, the URKL, uses the larger T800 as its single standardised robot. At CES 2026 the PM01 was shown next to the T800, but as a general-purpose machine moving toward deployment in public transport support, guided tours, retail and patrol or inspection. Its open software stack makes it a research and education platform rather than a fighting one so far.
