Hero Esports launches CyberHero, a humanoid robot fight league, in Riyadh

Esports organiser Hero Esports staged the first CyberHero humanoid robot combat night in Riyadh on 9 September 2026 and plans an eight-stop international season.

Hero Esports, an esports organiser backed by Savvy Games Group and Tencent, held the first CyberHero event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 9 September 2026. The company presents CyberHero as a global sports league for humanoid robots.

The fights used EngineAI T800 humanoids, the same 1.73 m robot that equips the URKL league in Shenzhen. Hero Esports said ten T800 units were planned for the debut, which took place in a purpose-built arena, with music and lighting announced around the bouts. Each team combines three roles: builders, coders and drivers.

The company says the season will visit eight cities in four regions, with two stops in the Middle East and others in Europe, the Americas and Asia. The launch announcement gave no host cities, dates or prize money, and Hero Esports said it was seeking host cities, venues and commercial partners.

CyberHero joins a fast-growing field that already includes URKL in China and the Ultimate Bots league. KLVSH will add it to the leagues it follows once a calendar is published.
