URKL opened in Shenzhen with 32 teams on the same T800 robot

EngineAI's Ultimate Robot Knock-out Legend held its opening night on 16 July 2026 in Shenzhen, with 32 teams entered, all using identical T800 humanoids judged on four criteria.

The Ultimate Robot Knock-out Legend, the humanoid fighting league created by Shenzhen robot maker EngineAI, opened on the night of 16 July 2026 at the Shenzhen Nanshan Cultural and Sports Center. Thirty-two teams from around the world were selected for the tournament.

Every team fights with the same machine, EngineAI's T800, a 1.73 m humanoid weighing about 75 kg with its battery. With identical hardware, results come down to each team's control software and strategy.

A knockout is not the only way to win. Judges score effective strikes, body stability, defence and evasion, and durability. On opening night one robot won with a kick to its opponent's head, and another kept fighting after its head was knocked off, relying on the systems in its torso until the end of the bout.

EngineAI chief executive Zhao Tongyang said the league is meant to build a commercial fighting brand and to push research and production of humanoid robots. According to PAP, the season's finals are planned for December 2026.
